According to industry sources, Dongwha Electrolite will supply electrolyte worth 350 billion KRW to local battery manufacturers and automobile companies in the United States. This is the first mass production supply contract signed after the completion of the Tennessee plant. The contracted volume will be produced at the Tennessee plant, and the supply period is from 2026 to 2028. Specific customers have not been disclosed due to confidentiality agreements.
This contract is known to have been signed after the Tennessee plant, completed in February, finished trial operation and test production, and after feasibility verification and prototype quality validation with some customers. The Tennessee plant can produce 86,000 tons of electrolyte annually for medium and large batteries. This amount is sufficient to supply approximately 2 million electric vehicles.
