The newly established Qingdao Visa Application Center is located near the Consulate General of the Republic of Korea in Qingdao and covers a total area of 300 pyeong (1,054㎡). The center is equipped with various convenience facilities such as a waiting room for applicants, reception counters, a VIP meeting room, and a nursing room, staffed by a total of 35 professionals. Its main duties include visa application reception and issuance, fee collection, civil service consultation, and information provision.
The number of visa applications from the Shandong Province in China decreased during the COVID-19 pandemic from about 180,000 cases in 2019 before the pandemic, but recovered to approximately 120,000 cases last year.
