The home-based medical assistance program is a project in which a medical assistance manager intervenes to provide customized services such as medical care, caregiving, meals, and transportation. Until now, Damyang County has been operating the service in cooperation with Damyang Sarang Hospital as the partner medical institution, Mideum Home Care Welfare Center as the caregiving provider, and Yumi's Lunchbox, a self-sufficiency enterprise, as the meal provider.
The county expects that by expanding the service to include transportation support through this agreement, beneficiaries of medical assistance will be able to receive hospital treatment and settle in the local community more smoothly.
Jung Kwangsun, acting governor of the county, said, "With this agreement, we will strengthen practical support so that medical assistance beneficiaries can live stably in the local community."
