"Warm Meals for Neighbors Affected by Wildfires" Pumdam Food Hall Donates 1000kg of Domestic Kimchi
Amid severe damage caused by large-scale wildfires in regions including Andong, Uiseong, Cheongsong, and Sancheong in Gyeongbuk, the food specialty brand Pumdam Food Hall donated 1,000kg of domestically produced kimchi to the affected residents through the Gyeongsangbuk-do branch of the Korean Red Cross.
This donation was made as an emergency relief effort to support the meals of disaster victims who lost their homes and are staying in shelters due to the wildfires. It will be promptly delivered to shelters, temporary housing facilities, and recovery personnel accommodations within the affected areas through the Korean Red Cross.
Pumdam Food Hall stated, “We decided to donate with the belief that everyone should be able to enjoy a warm meal even in sudden disasters,” adding, “We hope this will provide some comfort and help during the ongoing recovery and restoration process.”
The donated kimchi is a high-quality product made entirely from 100% domestically sourced ingredients, thoroughly prepared with consideration for hygiene, storage stability, shelf life, and storage conditions.
CEO Ryu Cheong said, “It is our duty to stand together when our neighbors are in trouble,” and added, “We will continue to fulfill our social responsibility as a food brand and work alongside the local community.”
