Haeseonggigong Donates 20 Million Won Development Fund to Korea Polytechnic University
Korea University of Technology and Education announced on the 25th that it had received a development fund of 20 million won from Haeseong Gigong, a company specializing in the production and construction of steel structures.
The development fund will be used as a scholarship fund to support research and practical competency enhancement for students in the Department of Industrial Safety Engineering and the Department of Safety and Environmental Engineering.
Moon Namjun, CEO of Haeseong Gigong, said, "Recently, we were selected as an excellent safety company by Samsung C&T Construction Division and received a prize. I decided to donate this money for the cultivation of industrial safety talent and the development of KOREATECH."
Yu Gilsang, President of the university, said, "Haeseong Gigong's philosophy of prioritizing safety in the industrial field and its sense of social responsibility have shone even brighter through this donation. We will continue to foster practical talent through close cooperation with the industry."
Meanwhile, CEO Moon completed the first class of KOREATECH's Advanced Management Program in Industrial Safety Policy. It is also known that his employees followed in his footsteps, completing the second class of the same program and obtaining master's degrees in the Department of Safety and Environmental Engineering.
