Spring Welcome Activities with Residents of Junghwa 1-dong, Jungnang-gu
Jungnang-gu (District Mayor Ryu Kyung-gi) held various events with residents at the Junghwa 1-dong Community Service Center to welcome spring.
On March 13, about 40 residents planted 3,000 spring flowers in local flower beds and along the streets, embarking on creating a "Flowering Our Neighborhood." This hands-on participation allowed residents to foster a sense of community while beautifying the area. Participants expressed their satisfaction, saying, "We feel rewarded to be able to directly care for our neighborhood."
Earlier, on March 1, the Junghwa 1-dong Autonomous Disaster Prevention Group conducted a wildfire prevention campaign around Bonghwasan Mountain. About 10 members of the group and local staff participated, informing hikers and residents about wildfire prevention rules and how to report wildfires, raising awareness of wildfire risks.
Additionally, the Junghwa 1-dong Volunteer Camp began its activities for the year with spring alley cleaning. From March onward, they plan to continue various volunteer activities, including forming partnerships with low-income elderly living alone.
