Daejeon District Prosecutors' Office Indicts Without Detention on the 25th of Last Month
The prosecution has indicted Song Hwalseop, an independent member of the Daejeon City Council representing Daedeok District 2, on charges of molesting a female staff member from an election campaign.
The Daejeon District Prosecutors' Office indicted Song without detention on charges of forcible molestation on the 25th of last month.
Song, who was previously affiliated with the People Power Party, was indicted for allegedly molesting a female staff member who worked at the campaign office of a party parliamentary candidate several times in February last year.
In relation to this, Song submitted his resignation from the People Power Party to the Daejeon City branch on July 5 last year.
The city council also put forward a motion to expel Song at a plenary session in September last year, but it was rejected with 7 votes in favor, 13 against, and 1 abstention.
