Daegu City Recruiting 100 Youth to Participate in Discovering and Proposing Youth Policies
Daegu City is publicly recruiting 100 participants for the ‘Daegu Youth Policy Network’ (Daegu Cheongjeong Net), which discovers and proposes various policies from the perspective of youth, until the 28th of this month.
Daegu Cheongjeong Net is a representative policy participation organization in Daegu where young people who will lead the future of Daegu gather to directly discover agendas to solve the concerns and problems of youth, propose and monitor youth policies, and engage in various exchange activities.
Marking its 7th term this year, Daegu Cheongjeong Net has selected the slogan ‘Chiljeon 7gi, jeongchaeg-e michillda’ using the Chill guy meme popular among young people. It plans to actively carry out policy research and exchange activities. Chill guy is a dog character who always has a relaxed and positive attitude, recently gaining popularity among youth.
Applicants must be youth aged 19 to 39 who reside, study, are active, or work in Daegu. Participants will enhance their understanding of policies through an educational course called ‘Youth Policy School’ and will be appointed as Daegu Cheongjeong Net members only after completing the course.
Meanwhile, Daegu Cheongjeong Net played a significant role in revitalizing exchanges among youth activity leaders nationwide by leading the first formation of the ‘Metropolitan Cheongjeong Net Chairpersons Council’ last year, expanding it to basic local governments, and holding nationwide exchange meetings, city-district Cheongjeong Net exchange meetings, and Daegu-Gwangju exchange meetings.
Additionally, it actively participated in discussions and workshops related to youth policies and discovered and proposed youth policies in six subcommittees: education, culture, welfare, jobs, housing, and participation/rights.
