Sojin-gong is recruiting participating companies with Bangkok, Thailand, and Jakarta, Indonesia as candidate locations.
The first DooK'N-DooK'N store opened in Hanoi, Vietnam, in August last year, introducing about 400 beauty and health products directly produced by a total of 171 domestic companies, attracting attention. Since opening, the average daily sales have recorded 1.4 million KRW, greatly exceeding the initial target (500,000 KRW).
The new store plans to expand its size and diversify its space compared to the existing one, according to Sojin-gong's plan. Sojin-gong also plans to increase the number of participating companies to 200 and the number of products to 600, and intends to strengthen marketing and promotional functions beyond simply stocking products. They will create a space inside the store where customers can try the products directly and establish pop-up stores supporting excellent local government companies to broaden customer contact points.
A Sojin-gong official said, "The performance of the first store was encouraging beyond expectations, with daily sales reaching up to 6 million KRW in November last year," adding, "We are considering ways to open new stores in countries where domestic beauty brands are popular while improving the quality of the space."
Sojin-gong plans to actively support the overseas expansion of our small business owners, using the expansion of DooK'N-DooK'N stores as a starting point. Sojin-gong's budget for 'small business specialized support' this year is 117.87 billion KRW, an increase of about 300% compared to last year (29.67 billion KRW). Even considering that part of the 'small business smart support' was transferred, this is the largest increase among all business sectors.
