Ever Healthcare Brand 'Baedaegam' Expands Business Following New Allulose Product Launch
Baedaegam, operated by Ever Healthcare Co., Ltd. (CEO Bae Daeju), which runs the Bidan Restaurant brand, announced that it completed the expansion of its liquid allulose production line in January 2025 and has begun full-scale business expansion through an automated production line capable of producing 10 million units annually (based on 530 g).
Recently, among health-conscious consumers, the alternative sweetener allulose is emerging as a new trend in the food industry.
Allulose, a rare sugar found in nature, has a sweetness similar to sugar but contains almost no calories. It is mostly unabsorbed by the body and has the effect of suppressing blood sugar spikes, making it an ideal choice for diabetic patients and consumers who need to manage their weight.
CEO Bae Daeju of Ever Healthcare Co., Ltd. explained, “Allulose is not just a sugar substitute for modern people pursuing a healthy life, but a product that proposes a better lifestyle.” Additionally, allulose is made from naturally derived ingredients and is regarded as an eco-friendly alternative sweetener, allowing consumers to care for both their health and the environment.
A representative from Ever Healthcare Co., Ltd. stated, “We are attracting public interest by introducing various products using allulose,” adding, “Baking mixes, beverages, and snack products containing allulose are hardly distinguishable in flavor or texture compared to products using traditional sugar.”
Experts evaluate that “allulose will establish itself as the epitome of healthy sweetness,” and “it can be especially helpful for modern people suffering from diabetes, obesity, and other conditions.”
