The S&P CSA is a recognized indicator in the fields of corporate sustainability evaluation and investment, assessing non-financial performance related to companies' sustainable growth. The results are used in the composition of sustainability and ESG investment indices.
Pulmuone received high marks in all areas of environment, society, and governance. The company promotes sustainable management strategies through its ESG Committee under the board of directors, and is actively advancing its materiality assessment methodology, strengthening energy-saving and eco-friendly policies, and developing healthy food products. In particular, the proportion of outside directors on the board (8 out of 11) and the proportion of female outside directors (3 members) were evaluated as being among the highest in Korea.
In the environmental sector, Pulmuone is pursuing Net Zero (carbon neutrality), aiming to achieve net zero greenhouse gas emissions by 2050, and Nature Positive, which focuses on biodiversity conservation. The company is strengthening sustainable management by introducing energy management systems at its manufacturing and logistics sites, and by utilizing eco-friendly energy sources such as solar and geothermal power.
