[Special Stock] Hurim Robot, SK Chey Tae-won’s Order to “Develop AI Humanoids”... Collaboration History Highlighted↑
Hurim Robot is showing strong performance. This is interpreted as the collaboration history being highlighted following news that SK Chairman Chey Tae-won is focusing on the artificial intelligence (AI) humanoid robot business.
As of 9:19 AM on the 10th, Hurim Robot is trading at 2,140 KRW, up 8.27% compared to the previous day.
According to industry sources, SK Telecom relocated its AI robot research team from the ICT Technology Center in Pangyo, Seongnam-si, Gyeonggi-do, to the headquarters business division in Euljiro, Seoul, in January this year. The team is focusing on launching intelligent robot services to be utilized in affiliate production facilities. They plan to first introduce these robot services to factories of group affiliates such as SK Hynix and SK On, and later expand into external business.
Additionally, following Chairman Chey’s vision, SK Telecom CEO Yoo Young-sang recently ordered several internal organizations, including corporate strategy and new business divisions, to plan new projects related to humanoid robots. The promotion of new businesses related to humanoid robots and the discovery of promising investment destinations were selected as core tasks. SK Telecom is currently evaluating the outcomes of these plans and is reportedly considering forming a task force team (TFT) to actively pursue the business.

Meanwhile, Hurim Robot has signed a ‘NUGU SDK (Software Development Kit) license’ agreement with SK Telecom, enabling Hurim Robot’s ‘temi’ to use NUGU’s voice recognition-based AI services.
