Korea Polytechnic University Achieves 80.1% Employment Rate in 2023... Mechatronics Engineering Department Tops the List
53.1% Receive a Monthly Salary of 3 Million Won or More
Korea University of Technology and Education announced on the 31st that, according to the University Information Disclosure System, its employment rate in 2023 reached 80.1%.
The employment rate by company type was as follows: large corporations (22.1%), mid-sized companies (22.1%), government/public enterprises/public institutions (12.0%), small and medium-sized enterprises (31.1%), non-profit organizations (10.0%), and others (0.3%).
In particular, the employment rates at large corporations and mid-sized companies were more than twice the national average for four-year universities.
By department, the School of Mechatronics Engineering had the highest employment rate at 84.4%, followed by the School of Design and Architecture Engineering at 81.9%, and the School of Energy, Advanced Materials and Chemical Engineering at 81.7%.
In terms of starting salary, 53.1% of all employed graduates received a monthly salary of 3 million won or more, which is 14.8% higher than the national university average of 38.3%.
