The district announced that it is the first autonomous district in Seoul to decide on granting special leave on January 31.
A district official explained the background, saying, "This is to encourage the hard work of employees who have contributed to various fields of district administration, including the promotion of key projects in the 8th elected term and the realization of creative administration."
To minimize the gap in civil service on January 31, only 60% of all employees will take leave on that day, while the remaining 40% will use their leave during February and March.
This decision is expected to boost the morale of new employees who have recently been leaving public service due to low wages and heavy workloads, ensure sufficient rest time for employees, and help revitalize the local economy.
