Military Mutual Aid Association Donates 10 Million Won to Improve Welfare for People with Disabilities
On the 15th, the Military Mutual Aid Association announced that it visited the Korea Association of Persons with Physical Disabilities Seoul Chapter and donated 10 million won to support the improvement of welfare and independent living for people with disabilities.
Founded in 1986, the Korea Association of Persons with Physical Disabilities Seoul Chapter operates the Seoul Disability Convenience Improvement Technology Support Center and leads efforts to enhance welfare for people with disabilities by expanding convenience facilities and guaranteeing mobility rights. It also hosts various festivals and events involving people with disabilities to promote their sense of independence and improve public awareness of disabilities.
Jung Jae-gwan, Chairman of the Military Mutual Aid Association, stated, “We hope this contribution will be of some help in improving welfare for people with disabilities and expanding their social participation,” adding, “The Military Mutual Aid Association will continue to practice ethical management and fulfill its role as a social enterprise.”
