'Closure Crisis' Incheon Ijak Branch School Attached Kindergarten Reopens Accepting New Students
The Nambu Office of Education of Incheon Metropolitan City Office of Education announced on the 14th that it plans to reopen the kindergarten attached to Incheon Nambu Elementary School Ijak Branch located on Daeijakdo Island, Ongjin-gun.
This kindergarten had been closed since March last year due to no enrollment applicants, but it will reopen as enrollment of one 3-year-old child was confirmed this year. With the establishment of a new class, one homeroom teacher will also be assigned to the kindergarten.
The Office of Education recently conducted an on-site visit to discuss various support measures such as facility inspection, curriculum preparation, and provision of teaching materials and tools to ensure that children can receive safe and high-quality education.
