[Featured Stock] Robotis Surges on Expectations of Robot Sales Using Proprietary Technology
Robotis is experiencing a sharp rise in the early trading session on the 10th, fueled by expectations that sales related to robots applying its own technology could begin this year.
As of 9:43 a.m. on the day, Robotis is trading on the KOSDAQ market at 32,650 KRW, up 1,950 KRW (6.35%) from the previous close.
The stock price started at 30,900 KRW and expanded its gains in the early session.
Stunning Value Research stated in a report on the day that sales of Robotis' robot OM-Y, which applies its own actuator, are expected to occur this year. No investment opinion or target price was provided.
Robotis, established in 1999, is a robot-specialized company that develops actuators and reducers in-house. In October last year, at RoboWorld, it unveiled the customized unmanned collaborative robot ‘OpenManipulator-Y’ (OM-Y), which applies its actuator Dynamixel-Y.
Namgung Jun, a researcher at Stunning Value Research, explained, "This product is expected to apply Physical AI jointly developed with MIT as part of an international joint research and development (R&D) project solicitation since last year. Currently, preparations are underway to supply to a U.S. company, and it is expected to be launched early this year, with sales estimated to begin from the second quarter."
