Dobong-gu (District Mayor Oh Eon-seok) has decided to extend the operation of the 'Jeju Air Passenger Plane Accident Joint Memorial Altar' until 10 PM on January 10.
Previously, the district set up a joint memorial altar in the lobby on the first floor of Dobong-gu Office to mourn the victims of the accident and to provide convenience for residents to pay their respects.
The district originally planned to operate the joint memorial altar until January 4, but due to many residents visiting, the period was extended by 6 more days until the 10th. The operating hours remain the same, from 8 AM to 10 PM.
Oh Eon-seok, Mayor of Dobong-gu, stated the reason for the extension: “The district intends to express condolences to the victims of the accident and share the sorrow with residents by extending the operation of the joint memorial altar.”
