SMAC Announces Regular Executive Personnel Changes... "Accelerating Global Growth"
SMEC, a specialized machine tool company, announced on the 30th that it has carried out its regular executive personnel appointments for 2025, announcing a total of 10 promotions.
CEO Choi Young-seop stated that through this personnel appointment, the foundation for pioneering overseas markets and accelerating global growth has been strengthened. Talents with expertise and execution capabilities across all departments were appointed to key positions. He mentioned that the foundation for both internal and external expansion has been solidified. He also expressed confidence in the company’s manpower, noting that this year’s overseas-centered performance growth was prominently led by SMEC’s excellent personnel.
SMEC recorded sales of 152.7 billion KRW in the third quarter of this year, marking a 14% increase compared to the same period last year. Operating profit rose by 25% to 20.9 billion KRW. The company is currently expanding its business portfolio centered on convergence technologies such as industrial robots, focusing on securing future growth engines. It is broadening its presence in various global markets to strengthen growth momentum. Notably, significant achievements were made this year in the U.S. and European markets. Growth in emerging markets such as India and Mexico is expected in the future.
A SMEC official emphasized, “Following the record-breaking performance in the third quarter of this year, we expect to achieve the highest sales in the company’s history in 2024 since its founding. We will continue to spare no support for expanding the global market and pursue an aggressive growth strategy.”
