[Click eStock] "Pamtec, Semiconductor Equipment Sales Expansion Expected... Hyundai Mobis Supply Begins"
Hana Securities analyzed on the 26th that Pamtech is expected to expand the sales proportion of semiconductor equipment.
Choi Jae-ho, a researcher at Hana Securities, stated in a report on the same day, “Pamtech is generating stable sales in line with the smartphone specification upgrade cycle through CCM (Compact Camera Module) inspection equipment,” and “In particular, revenue from customer equipment modifications occurs annually, serving as a core cash cow.”
Currently, Pamtech's camera module equipment accounts for 66.1% of sales as of the third quarter. On the other hand, sales from automation equipment for semiconductor research labs are still low at 9.0%, but Pamtech plans to increase this proportion to over 15% within the next three years.
Through collaboration with Hyundai Mobis, Pamtech has secured new growth momentum in the vehicle camera inspection market. Hyundai Mobis plans a capital expenditure (CAPEX) of KRW 3.1822 trillion this year, focusing on autonomous vehicles and software-defined vehicles (SDV) development.
Researcher Choi emphasized, “Pamtech is scheduled to supply ADAS (Advanced Driver Assistance System) equipment to Hyundai Mobis starting this December,” adding, “This equipment possesses the technological capability to handle inline processes from assembly to inspection of autonomous driving components.”
He added, “Portfolio expansion is expected from ADAS equipment to IVI (In-Vehicle Infotainment) and radar equipment in the future.”
Pamtech’s semiconductor equipment sector is also noteworthy. The company holds various references such as Test Handler, Burn-In Sorter, and SEM Sample Preparation System, and supplies equipment to mass production lines of major domestic semiconductor companies.
