Mercury Obtains Plume OS 5.4 Certification for North American Wireless Routers... "Full-Scale US Supply Starts Next Year"
Information and communication equipment specialist Mercury announced on the 24th that it has obtained Plume OS 5.4 certification for its premium WiFi 6E wireless router (AX-8400) through collaboration with Plume. Based on this, the company plans to begin full-scale supply of the product to major US telecommunications operators early next year.
The WiFi 6E router based on Plume OS 5.4 supports data transfer speeds of up to 2.5Gbps and provides a secure network environment by safely protecting personal information and data through the latest security protocols.
A Mercury representative stated, “This Plume certification is an achievement that once again proves the quality and reliability of the products offered by Mercury,” adding, “We will strengthen our presence in global markets such as the US and Japan and introduce future-oriented solutions that meet the diverse needs of customers.”
He continued, “Considering that the US federal government is reviewing a ban on the use of WiFi routers from certain Chinese companies, and that more than 400 telecommunications operators have adopted Plume technology with a cumulative subscriber base of 60 million, we expect additional large-scale orders in the North American market.”
