Professor Seo Suwan of Dongseo University, Department of International Logistics, Elected as the 22nd President of the Korean Port Economics Association
Professor Seo Su-wan of the Department of International Logistics at Dongseo University was elected as the 22nd President of the Korea Port Economic Association through resolutions at the board meeting and general meeting held on December 13.
The term of office is two years, starting from January next year.
Professor Seo has actively contributed to the development of policies in Korea's shipping and port logistics sector while concurrently engaging in various external activities, including serving as an advisory member of the Ministry of Trade, Industry and Energy's Public-Private Joint Logistics Policy Discovery Council, an advisory member of the Presidential Office's Local Autonomy Promotion Committee, a private member of the Ministry of Economy and Finance's Fiscal Project Evaluation Committee (SOC division), a member of the Busan City Logistics Policy Committee, and a review member of the Overseas Business Risk Management Committees of Busan Port Authority and Ulsan Port Authority.

The Korea Port Economic Association, founded in 1985 and celebrating its 40th anniversary next year, is Korea's leading academic society in the port field. Through active activities such as hosting domestic and international academic conferences, policy seminars, and publishing a quarterly academic journal, it contributes to the development of Korea's shipping and port logistics industry and national progress.
