Busan Urban Corporation Conducts Human Rights Inspection at Eco Delta City Construction Site
Busan Metropolitan City Corporation (BMC, President Shin Chang-ho) announced on the 16th that it conducted a human rights inspection at construction sites for the Eco Delta City 18·19·20BL public sale housing and the City Hall Front Happy Housing (Complex 1) on the 4th to protect human rights at construction sites.
The human rights inspection at construction sites carried out by BMC was conducted through checklist-based inspections and meetings to protect the rights of on-site workers and ensure safety.
During the inspection, an overall on-site evaluation related to human rights was conducted, including ▲ human rights violations at the workplace ▲ relief procedures for those negatively affected by human rights issues ▲ inspection of safety equipment and facilities at the construction site ▲ and regular safety education. Through direct inspection of human rights violations, a total of 12 potential human rights risk cases were identified, and plans to establish countermeasures are underway.
BMC plans to continue conducting regular human rights inspections at construction sites by work type and construction type every year to ensure worker safety, working environment, and protection of workers' rights, striving to prevent human rights violations in advance.
