MS Obtains 'Ha' Grade Certification for Cloud Service Security Authentication System
"Proving Safety and Reliability in the Public Sector as Well"
Microsoft (MS) announced on the 2nd that it has obtained the Cloud Security Assurance Program (CSAP) 'Ha' grade certification from the Korea Internet & Security Agency (KISA).
This certification is the result of KISA's audit of the operational environment of Microsoft Cloud Service Azure's Korea Region. The audit process included evaluation of services related to artificial intelligence (AI) infrastructure, computing, storage, networking, databases, and security.
MS has demonstrated the quality and reliability of Azure cloud services through more than 100 global security certifications such as ISO 9001, SOC 1, SOC 2, and SOC 3. Additionally, it has undergone annual security verifications in domestic private and financial sectors, including the Korea Information Security Management System (K-ISMS) and the Financial Security Institute's CSP safety evaluation.
With the acquisition of this security certification, not only private and financial companies but also domestic public institutions can now use Azure cloud services whose safety and reliability have been verified. MS plans to actively support domestic public sector customers to comply more efficiently with related regulations.
