Experience It Directly in the Community... Dong-Eui Institute of Technology Professor Learning Development Center, ACE ESG Competition Camp
The Center for Teaching and Learning Development at Dong-Eui Institute of Technology (President Kim Young-do) announced on the 29th that it conducted the 2024 ACE ESG Competition Camp program over two days from the 4th to the 5th.
This program was held to enhance understanding of ESG, provide theoretical education, foster new perspectives, and develop creative problem-solving methods.
On the day of the competition, a total of seven teams were awarded based on criteria such as the relevance of the theme and ideas, creativity and distinctiveness, business feasibility and practicality, presentation material production, and presentation skills. The awards included one grand prize team, two excellence award teams, and four merit award teams.
Kim Min-jung, the student who received the grand prize, said, “It was a valuable time to experience the local community outside of the busy school life and learn that ESG is not just a trend but an important movement leading the era, and to understand how values related to environment, society, and governance can bring about real change.”
Jo Chae-young, head of the Center for Teaching and Learning Development at Dong-Eui Institute of Technology, explained, “This ESG camp is a program where students learn the importance of environment, society, and governance and connect these to the local community to develop creative ideas.”
Director Jo added, “I was very impressed that all teams participating in this competition proposed ideas to practice ESG from their own unique perspectives, and we will actively support students to practice social responsibility with new viewpoints.”
