HD Hyundai Heavy also withdraws lawsuit against Hanwha Ocean... "Hope it becomes an opportunity for cooperation in the shipbuilding industry"
HD Hyundai Heavy Industries announced on the 25th that it will withdraw the police complaint it had filed against employees of its competitor Hanwha Ocean, who allegedly damaged its reputation through a press briefing related to the leak of the Korean next-generation destroyer (KDDX) concept design.
On the morning of the same day, HD Hyundai Heavy Industries visited the National Police Agency's National Investigation Headquarters to submit the withdrawal of the complaint. In May, HD Hyundai Heavy Industries had filed a complaint against Hanwha Ocean employees for defamation by false facts and publication. The complaint was based on Hanwha Ocean allegedly stating false facts during a press briefing held in March regarding the KDDX concept design leak incident.
Earlier, after Hanwha Ocean withdrew its police accusation against HD Hyundai Heavy Industries on the 22nd, requesting an investigation into whether executives were involved in the KDDX military secrets leak case, HD Hyundai Heavy Industries also withdrew its complaint.
