Opening of Dobong-gu Changdong Senior Welfare Center
Basement 1 to 3rd Floor Above Ground, Total Floor Area 1541.21㎡... Spacious Hall, Health Promotion Room, Elevator Installation, etc.
Dobong-gu (Mayor Oh Eon-seok) held the opening ceremony for the new Changdong Senior Welfare Center (Deokneung-ro 60chagil 8) on the 18th.
At the ceremony, Mayor Oh Eon-seok of Dobong-gu and about 200 local seniors attended to celebrate the opening.
The Changdong Senior Welfare Center was newly constructed with a size of 1,541.21㎡, spanning from basement level 1 to the 3rd floor above ground. It is more than twice the size of the previous facility. The area was expanded by purchasing nearby villas in addition to the existing site.
A spacious hall and a health promotion room were provided, and the education rooms were expanded. Various leisure facilities such as a library, computer room, baduk (Go) room, and calligraphy room were also equipped. An elevator was newly installed as well.
Previously, the district started the construction at the end of 2022 and completed it in September. A total project cost of 9.784 billion KRW was invested.
The district expects that the new welfare center will resolve inconveniences experienced by senior users and provide a more comfortable environment.
