NearsLab 'Drone Station' Wins CES 2025 Best Innovation Award
Automatic Flight Permission Acquisition in Emergency Situations
Enhancing On-Site Response by Integrating with Police Systems
AI drone company NearsLab announced on the 15th that it has won the Best of Innovation award at the "world's largest electronics and IT exhibition CES". The CES Best of Innovation award is given by the Consumer Technology Association (CTA), the organizer of CES, to products worldwide that receive the highest scores across all categories based on technology, design, and innovation.
The product awarded to NearsLab this time is the "Drone Station," a solution that enables fully unmanned operation of autonomous drones. In addition to unmanned operation through the station, it includes a function to obtain flight permits, allowing for rapid deployment in emergency situations. This enhances on-site response capabilities by transmitting data collected immediately at the scene to the command center in real time. Furthermore, when the drone returns after a mission, the battery can be automatically replaced and charged, and the cooling function lowers the temperature of the overheated drone body caused by flight. It also features dustproof and waterproof functions to support stable mission performance even in severe weather conditions.

NearsLab explained that winning the CES Best of Innovation award reflects the re-evaluation of the drone station, which was previously a simple auxiliary device for drone operation, as an essential device for increasing drone operation time and expanding the scope of mission execution. Choi Jae-hyuk, CEO of NearsLab, said, "Rather than focusing solely on technology, we were able to develop the drone station by considering what value we could add to the public safety industry."
