Voice Phishing Prevention and Human Rights in Case Law, Reflecting the Latest Trends in 4 Sessions
Dongmyung University has recently received praise for conducting a total of four sessions of education on law, accounting, human rights, and big data to strengthen the capabilities of employees working in social welfare institutions.
Professor Yoon Ki-hyuk of Dongmyung University (Department of Social Welfare) held a training session on text mining techniques that can be applied in the field, focusing on big data and BigKinds, which have recently been utilized in social welfare program development, on October 31.
Earlier, on October 24, Professor Yoon also conducted human rights sensitivity enhancement education (Stories of Human Rights in Case Law) based on various risk accidents and human rights violation cases occurring in the field.
On October 17, Seon Geun-woo, a certified public accountant and representative accountant of Seonwoo Accounting and Tax Consulting, provided accounting and tax education (Breaking Down Settlement and Audit) to enhance accounting transparency and accountability in the execution of national subsidies for social welfare institutions.
On September 26, lawyer Kang Seung-joo, representative lawyer of the law firm Jeongsimjeonghaeng, conducted legal education (Breaking Down Everyday Law) aimed at preventing rental fraud, voice phishing, and other crimes.
Lee Min-jin, a social worker at Busanjin Senior Club, said, “Crimes such as rental fraud and voice phishing are risks that anyone can fall victim to, so it was beneficial to learn how to prevent them and respond when damage occurs.”
Ahn Byung-wook, head of Bumin Senior Welfare Center (social worker), said, “There were few opportunities to access big data education related to social welfare. Now, it seems possible to develop social welfare programs using big data.”
Professor Yoon Ki-hyuk stated, “This education was prepared to develop the job competencies of social workers who will cope with and solve various new social risks such as care, isolation, suicide, solitary death, and climate change, as well as traditional and social risks.”
