Two Local Companies Secure $1.7 Million in Consultation Contracts
District Supports Participating Companies with Booth Rental Fees and More
Dobong-gu (Mayor Oh Eon-seok) announced that local companies achieved a remarkable $1.7 million in consultation orders at the 22nd World Korean Business Convention.
The World Korean Business Convention is an event organized by the Overseas Koreans Office and overseas Korean economic organizations. This year, it was held from October 22 to 24 at Jeonbuk National University in Jeonju City.
During this period, two companies from the Dobong-gu area secured $1.7 million in consultation orders through consultations with a total of about 50 companies.
The two participating companies from Dobong-gu were the Dobong Socks Manufacturing Association and Yukchil Cheongchun Factory Co., Ltd., both previously selected by the district as recipients of support for domestic and international exhibitions and fairs.
The district supports the selected companies by covering booth rental fees up to 2 million KRW when participating in domestic and international exhibitions and fairs.
At this convention, the Dobong Socks Manufacturing Association achieved consultation orders worth $900,000 through 5 buyer meetings and consultations with over 30 companies, while Yukchil Cheongchun Factory Co., Ltd. recorded consultation orders worth $800,000 through 1 buyer meeting and consultations with 25 companies.
Company representative A said, “It was a great opportunity to secure group orders and business partners not only from domestic companies but also from overseas companies. With the district’s support, we plan to actively pursue domestic and international market development going forward.”
