Korea Tech Hosts Campus Dining Cooking Contest... "Hopes for Student Cafeteria Improvement"
At Korea University of Technology and Education, the dish "Gochujang Butter Bibimbap" claimed first place at the campus cafeteria cooking competition.
The university cooperative organized the "Campus Cafeteria Chef" cooking contest on the 29th, providing students with an opportunity to showcase their culinary skills.
Nine teams that advanced through the document screening round presented dishes made with ingredients costing less than 15,000 KRW.
After evaluation by the chairman, chefs, and nutritionists based on taste, nutrition, and menu potential, the "Gochujang Butter Bibimbap" by Jang Pilgeun from the Department of Mechatronics Engineering and Jeong Yerim from the Department of Computer Engineering was awarded the top prize.
Following this, "Fried Eggplant Rice Bowl" and "Chive's Best Friend, Smoked Duck Rice Bowl" won second and third place, respectively.
President Yoo Gilsang said, "I hope that through this cooking competition, students were able to fully express their everyday cooking skills and create precious memories," adding, "Outstanding menus featuring creative ideas and talent will be adopted as official menu items at the student cafeteria, helping to further develop the cafeteria culture."
