The Gwangju Dong-gu Disabled Welfare Center announced on the 17th that it is recruiting participants for the "2024 Disabled Employment Project" targeting disabled residents of Gwangju (aged 18 and over) until the 24th. This project aims to provide jobs to disabled people, a vulnerable employment group, to expand social participation and support income security.
The recruitment is divided into the "Specialized Type" (assistant caregiver for developmentally disabled persons) for unemployed developmentally disabled individuals and the "Participation Type" for unemployed disabled persons.
Applications can be submitted by bringing identification and the application form for the Disabled Employment Project to the Vocational Support Team at the Dong-gu Disabled Welfare Center.
Selected participants will assist caregivers at nursing homes and nursing hospitals until December for the Specialized Type, while the Participation Type will perform environmental cleaning tasks at the Gyerim-dong Administrative Welfare Center and the Dong-gu Disabled Welfare Center.

Jang Se-jong, director of the Dong-gu Disabled Welfare Center, said, "The employment project serves as a foundation for self-reliance and improving the quality of life for disabled people facing employment difficulties," adding, "We will continue to strive to provide quality jobs for job-seeking disabled individuals."
