"Will Cooperate with Law Enforcement Agencies" Announced
Ki Dong-hoon, CEO of Medistaff, an online community for doctors and medical students, stated at the National Assembly audit that he would cooperate with the police investigation related to the 'doctor blacklist' incident.
At the National Assembly Public Administration and Security Committee audit held on the 11th at the Seoul Seodaemun-gu Police Agency, CEO Ki, who appeared as a witness, emphasized in response to a question from Jo Eun-hee of the People Power Party, “We must cooperate with law enforcement agencies according to laws and principles.” When asked whether he would actively cooperate in providing information about members who created or distributed the blacklist, he replied, “If a warrant is issued, we cooperate according to the warrant and the law.”
In response to Jo’s question, “Can you swear that you will not condone crimes in platform operation and will take active measures such as sanctioning members?” CEO Ki said, “Since this incident, we have been actively responding by suspending users and posts in accordance with platform principles. As you said, I can swear to that.”
The doctor blacklist refers to posts that disclose personal information of doctors who do not participate in collective actions in the medical community to criticize them, and it is being distributed through various online platforms such as Medistaff and Archive. The police are conducting an investigation on charges of violating the Personal Information Protection Act and the Stalking Punishment Act.
