Choi Insik and Kim Younghee, Painters Based in Hongcheon-gun, Hold Solo Exhibitions Respectively
'Modern Cultural Heritage' at Hongcheon Art Museum from the 10th to the 20th
Hongcheon County, Gangwon Special Self-Governing Province (Governor Shin Young-jae) announced that solo exhibitions by Western painters Choi In-sik and Kim Young-hee, who are based in Hongcheon and affiliated with the Hongcheon branch of the Korea Art Association, will be held at Hongcheon Art Museum Halls 1 and 2 from the 10th to the 20th.
From October 10th, artists Choi In-sik (left) and Kim Young-hee will each hold solo exhibitions at Hongcheon Art Museum. The theme of Choi's exhibition is "In Everyday Life," and the theme of Kim's exhibition is "Asking the Way to Myself."
Artist Choi In-sik is holding his first solo exhibition under the theme "In Everyday Life." For over 30 years, he has devoted himself to nurturing young artists in Hongcheon and advancing the Hongcheon Art Association. He has consistently held exhibitions such as the Gangwon Province Art Association Exhibition, Hongcheon Art Association Exhibition, and Sainsasaek Exhibition, and currently serves as the head of the Hongcheon branch of the Korea Art Association.
Artist Kim Young-hee, whose second solo exhibition is themed "Asking the Way to Myself," richly expresses Korean imagery using hanji (traditional Korean paper) as her medium. Kim has received awards including the Grand Prize and Special Selection at the Gangwon Art Exhibition and actively participates in events such as the Gangwon Art Exhibition, Gangwon Province Art Association Exhibition, and Hongcheon Art Association Exhibition.
The solo exhibitions of Choi In-sik, head of the Hongcheon branch, and Kim Young-hee, both members of the Hongcheon branch of the Korea Art Association, are open for viewing at the Hongcheon Art Museum’s modern cultural heritage Halls 1 and 2 from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. until the 20th.
