It consisted of various programs that provided practical knowledge and experience necessary for starting a business. Students had the opportunity to develop key entrepreneurial competencies through mentoring from startup experts, business plan writing, and workshops to strengthen presentation skills.
In particular, a variety of startup ideas reflecting the latest trends in the sports rehabilitation and healthcare industries were presented, drawing the attention of the judges.
At the startup competition, nine teams competed fiercely under the theme of increasing rehabilitation treatment efficiency through sports rehabilitation devices. The grand prize at this camp and competition went to the ‘Easy-grip’ team, which developed a rehabilitation device based on smart technology, receiving high marks for its innovative idea and feasibility.
Song Minyoung, Director of the DIT Sports Rehabilitation Center, said, “It is very meaningful to provide students with the opportunity to turn their creative ideas into real startups through a systematic entrepreneurship education program,” and added, “We hope to see even more startup items emerge in the field of sports rehabilitation in the future.”
The DIT Sports Rehabilitation Center, a university enterprise, was selected for the ‘Stage 3 University Enterprise Support Project,’ which provides five years of support starting in 2020. Each year, it applies entrepreneurship simulation education needed in the field to students in the Department of Physical Therapy, aiming to enhance their understanding of the startup process and foster creative, convergent sports rehabilitation experts who create business value through the strengthening of practical entrepreneurial capabilities.
