The Small and Medium Business Corporation announced on the 26th that it has signed a 'Business Agreement to Strengthen the Fabless Industry Ecosystem' with the Korea Fabless Industry Association. This agreement was promoted to revitalize the ecosystem of the system semiconductor industry, which has recently gained importance as a future growth engine, and to support fabless (semiconductor design and R&D) companies in securing ultra-competitive technologies.
Both organizations agreed on the necessity of focused development of the fabless industry and discussed detailed cooperation plans to strengthen the fabless industry ecosystem. Specifically, they agreed to cooperate on ▲establishing exclusive training courses for fabless specialists and offering discounts on training fees to nurture talent ▲supporting the securing of specialized personnel by matching foreign students majoring in semiconductor design with companies ▲promoting mentoring with startup companies from youth entrepreneurship schools and global entrepreneurship schools in AI and semiconductor design fields.
