The Korea IR Council Corporate Research Center on the 13th forecasted that Daehan Optical Fiber is experiencing continued high growth in its power business, expecting an increase in new sales of power cables.
Daehan Optical Fiber is a specialized manufacturer of communication and power cables, having established vertical integration across the entire production process from core materials to optical cables. The core products of the communication business division are optical cables and optical fibers, with major customers including global major optical cable manufacturers and domestic and international telecommunications operators. The core product of the power business division is Optical Ground Wire (OPGW), supplied to major domestic power companies, overseas engineering, procurement, and construction (EPC) contractors, and foreign power authorities.
Researcher Saerom Lee of the Korea IR Council explained, "The U.S. power market is enjoying a boom, leading to continued growth in the power business division responsible for OPGW," adding, "The reasons for the increasing global demand for power cables, led by the U.S., include the expansion of artificial intelligence (AI) data centers, the full-scale reshoring in the U.S., renewable energy integration, rising per capita electricity consumption in China and India, and the increase in electric vehicles."
