Busan Urban Corporation Holds 'Integrity Quiz Contest' for On-site Workers
Seventeen Site Officials Attend Eco Delta City Section 3-2
Enhancing Understanding of Anti-Corruption Laws and Spreading a Culture of Integrity
Busan Metropolitan Corporation (BMC) held a "Integrity Quiz Competition" on the 29th of last month for workers at the Phase 3, Section 2 site of Busan Eco Delta City.
This event, held on the 29th of last month, was organized to strengthen integrity awareness at construction sites, eradicate corruption through integrity activities, and enhance fairness and transparency in work, ultimately aiming to improve external integrity ratings of the corporation.
The integrity quiz consisted of 20 multiple-choice questions covering key topics from relevant laws, including the "Improper Solicitation and Graft Act" (such as year of enforcement, applicable subjects, sanctions for violations, and prohibited solicitation acts) and the "Conflict of Interest Prevention Act" (such as purpose of enforcement, definition of private stakeholders, restricted and prohibited acts, and reporting obligations), as well as issues that could easily be overlooked in daily life.
The competition was held in the on-site situation room with 17 participants including representatives from the construction project management team, construction companies, and subcontractors. Four high scorers were selected and awarded separately, while the remaining participants received participation prizes to encourage continued interest and involvement in future integrity events.
One award recipient commented, "Through the Integrity Quiz Competition, I had a valuable opportunity to deepen my understanding of the 'Improper Solicitation and Graft Act' and the 'Conflict of Interest Prevention Act,' which I don't often encounter in daily work. I will actively participate in such integrity culture events in the future as well."
