KEPCO Engineering & Construction is showing strong performance. This is interpreted as being influenced by the Czech Republic's confidence in finalizing the contract for the Dukovany nuclear power plant construction project with Korea.
As of 2:29 PM on the 4th, KEPCO Engineering & Construction is trading at 15,770 KRW, up 18.39% compared to the previous day.
Tomas Pojar, National Security Advisor of the Czech Republic, who is visiting Korea, stated during his visit to President Yoon at the Yongsan Presidential Office that "the Czech Republic is confident that it will finalize the contract for the Dukovany nuclear power plant construction project with Korea."
This official response from the Czech side regarding the Dukovany nuclear power plant project contract draws attention as it comes amid a recent complaint filed by the U.S. nuclear company Westinghouse to the Czech Antitrust Office, protesting the selection of Korean companies as the preferred negotiators for the Dukovany project.
