KAIST and Korean Society for Regulation Studies Hold National Strategic Technology Regulatory Innovation Strategy Forum
The "Forum on Exploring Regulatory Innovation Strategies in the Field of National Strategic Technologies," aimed at in-depth discussion of regulatory issues that may hinder the development of national strategic technologies and seeking solutions, will be held on the 30th at the KAIST Daejeon campus, jointly hosted by the KAIST Institute for National Future Strategy Technologies Policy Research (Director Seo Yongseok) and the Korean Society for Regulation Studies (President Yang Junseok).
In Part 1 of the forum, Lee Kwangho, Senior Research Fellow at STEPI, will present on innovation agendas for technology regulations in the field of national strategic technologies, and Kim Ingu, Head of the SMR Regulatory Research Promotion Team, will present on proactive regulatory innovation strategies in new technology fields, followed by a panel discussion.

Part 2 will discuss global regulatory response strategies for national strategic technologies. Wonho Yeon, Director of the Economic Technology Security Research Center at the Korea National Diplomatic Academy, will moderate and introduce the international trend of regulatory tightening. Seongwon Ahn, Head of AI Policy Research at the Software Policy Research Institute, will present on the domestic and international regulatory status and response strategies in AI safety. Hyunsoo Kim, Director of the National Biotechnology Policy Research Center at the Korea Research Institute of Bioscience and Biotechnology, will present on the domestic and international regulatory status and global ocean strategies in the advanced bio field. Beomjoo Kim, Executive Director of KEI Consulting, will present on global regulatory response strategies such as RE100 and carbon neutrality in the field of national strategic technologies, followed by a panel discussion.
