Genesis·Hyundai Motor, Ranked No.1 in Advanced Vehicle Technology Satisfaction by U.S. J.D. Power
Genesis and Hyundai Motor Company swept the top spots in the new car advanced technology satisfaction survey conducted by U.S. market research firm J.D. Power.
On the 22nd (local time), J.D. Power announced that Genesis scored 584 points in the 2024 U.S. Technology Experience Index survey, ranking first among all brands. Genesis outperformed renowned automakers such as Lexus (535 points) and BMW (528 points), while Hyundai Motor Company (518 points) took first place among mass-market brands.
The survey was conducted from July 2023 to May of this year, targeting over 80,000 consumers who purchased 2024 model year new vehicles and owned them for more than 90 days.
The survey assessed satisfaction with 40 technologies across four categories: convenience, latest automation technology, energy and sustainability, and infotainment and connectivity. This approach evaluated each brand’s level of innovation in new technologies and ease of use.
Genesis was recognized as the brand with the highest level of technology quality in this survey, achieving first place among all brands for the fourth consecutive year. Hyundai Motor Company secured first place in the mass-market brand category for the fifth consecutive year. Kia also demonstrated strong technological capabilities by ranking second in the mass-market brand category.
The Genesis GV70, Hyundai Santa Fe, and Kia Carnival were selected as vehicles applying the best technologies in the 'Advanced Technology Awards' presented by J.D. Power.
The Genesis GV70 and Kia Carnival were recognized as excellent vehicles applying forward collision prevention assistance in the latest automation technology category, while the Hyundai Santa Fe was selected as an excellent vehicle applying phone-based digital key technology in the infotainment and connectivity category.
