Gould Pump Pledges $20,000 Development Fund to Korea University of Technology and Education
"Hoping to Support Talent Development for the Fourth Industrial Revolution"
Gould Pump Co., a mid-sized manufacturer of hydraulic equipment such as industrial pumps, has pledged to donate USD 20,000 to Korea University of Technology and Education as a university development fund.
Gould Pump, a subsidiary of the US-based ITT Corporation, is the largest domestic manufacturer of pumps for oil and gas drilling and transportation, recording annual sales of approximately KRW 142 billion.
The company has also maintained active exchanges with Korea University of Technology and Education for over a decade. Since participating in the university's IPP (Industry Professional Practice) program in 2014, Gould Pump has utilized students for on-site internships, and has been actively involved in networking events between university and company HR managers, alumni job mentoring, job fairs, and the recruitment of recommended graduates from the university.
Kim Ilgon, CEO of Gould Pump, said, "Graduates of Korea University of Technology and Education, the nation's top specialized university, demonstrate excellent expertise and teamwork, making significant contributions to our company's growth," adding, "I hope that this development fund will help nurture talent to lead the era of the Fourth Industrial Revolution at Korea University of Technology and Education."
