Dongseo University Wins Three Excellent Paper Awards at the Global Cultural Contents Association
Graduate and Doctoral Students in the Department of Visual Content at the Graduate School
The Graduate School of Visual Content at Dongseo University (President: Jang Jeguk) has consecutively won Excellent Paper Awards at a nationwide cultural content academic conference.
Dongseo University announced on the 21st that it received three Excellent Paper Awards at the "2024 Global Cultural Content Society" held at the National Museum of Korea on the 17th.
The Global Cultural Content Society held its summer academic conference at the Education Center of the National Museum of Korea under the theme "Post-Digital Era: Issues and Topics in Cultural Content Studies." The conference was divided into sessions for the Next Generation of Scholars, Research Methodologies in Cultural Content Studies, and Cultural Content and Artificial Intelligence (Technology).
Hao Huawei, who will receive a doctoral degree this August, won the Excellent Paper Award in the Cultural Content and Artificial Intelligence session with a study titled "A Study on Generative AI and the Film Industry." In the Next Generation of Scholars session, master's student Park Sunha received the award for "A Study on Character Sheet Production Techniques for 3D Character Modeling Using Generative AI," while master's student Kang Dongyun was recognized for "A Study on the Production Process of 3D Background Modeling Using Image Generative AI and Projection Mapping Techniques."

The Global Cultural Content Society, founded in 2007, has been conducting research in the field of cultural content through interdisciplinary studies that combine science and technology based on theories from the humanities and social sciences. The upcoming fall academic conference of the Global Cultural Content Society is scheduled to be held at Dongseo University.
