Dobong-gu Operates 'Commercial Area Innovation Education' for Prospective Food Service Entrepreneurs
Specialized Food Service Startup Training Comprising Practical and Theoretical Lessons... Recruiting Trainees from August 19 to September 6
Dobong-gu (District Mayor Oh Eon-seok) has stepped forward to help residents preparing to start a food service business.
The district announced that it will recruit 8 students for the 4th term of the "Dobong-gu Commercial District Innovation Education" from August 19 to September 6.
"Dobong-gu Commercial District Innovation Education" is a specialized food service startup training program consisting of practical and theoretical courses. It is a key pledge project actively promoted by the district in the 8th local government term to cultivate competitive food service entrepreneurs.
In the practical course, participants can learn various popular startup menus such as Korean, Chinese, Japanese, and Western cuisine. The theoretical course covers practical skills useful in the field, such as inventory management, purchasing management, and menu management. The education will be conducted from September 24 to November 26.
Any Dobong-gu resident wishing to start a food service business can apply. A total of 8 people will be selected through a first-round document screening and a second-round interview. Preference will be given to those with specific startup plans or experience and knowledge related to the food service industry.
Applicants should complete the application form and other documents and submit them in person to the Regional Economy Division of Dobong-gu Office or via email to the person in charge between August 19 and September 6.
In addition to the education, trainees will be provided with a cooking training space for individual research and opportunities to validate menus through tasting sessions. Furthermore, 1:1 expert consulting and startup fund guarantees will be supported through a business agreement with the Seoul Credit Guarantee Foundation.
