Busan Port Authority, Busan Port Tour Program for Elementary and Middle School Students
Busan Port Authority (BPA, President Kang Junseok) conducted a Busan Port tour program for about 100 elementary and middle school students from the Busan area on the 14th.
This program is a follow-up to the education donation and career experience donation agreement signed in September 2023 between BPA and 16 career education support centers in the Busan region.
The students boarded the BPA port guide ship and toured the container terminal and the North Port redevelopment area, listening to explanations about the process of import and export cargo handling at the port and the history of Busan Port's North Port.
The students, who closely observed 6-meter-long containers being loaded onto ships by large cranes, expressed great interest and amazement.
After the tour, they gathered at the BPA auditorium to learn about the location and status of Busan Port, as well as its importance as the economic lifeline of Korea by reliably handling import and export cargo through 287 routes.
This event is part of the International Children & Youth Economic Academy organized by the Dongnae-gu Career Education Support Center, where participants visit public institutions and companies in Busan, including Busan Port Authority, to learn about the real economy and finance.
