A suspect accused of stabbing a woman in her 60s to death with a weapon in an underground walkway near a building in Jung-gu, Seoul, has been arrested by the police.
On the 2nd, the Namdaemun Police Station in Seoul announced that they had arrested a man on suspicion of murder for stabbing a woman in her 60s to death in an underground walkway near a building in Jung-gu, Seoul.
The police received a report at around 5:10 a.m. that "someone was bleeding and collapsed" and began an investigation using nearby CCTV footage. The man was apprehended at around 8:50 a.m. near the Dongja-dong goshiwon area in Yongsan-gu, Seoul.
The victim was transported to a hospital immediately after being found but ultimately died during transport.
According to the police investigation, the woman was identified as a sanitation worker in her 60s.
