E1, an importer and seller of LPG, announced on the 1st that it has raised the domestic LPG supply price by 62 KRW per kilogram for August. This is the first time in eight months that E1 has increased the LPG supply price.
Starting from this day, E1 will supply LPG butane gas used as automotive fuel to filling stations at 1,588.68 KRW per kilogram, a 4% increase compared to July.
The price of LPG propane gas used for cooking and heating in homes and restaurants has been set at 1,300.25 KRW per kilogram, a 5% increase.
E1 explained, "We are raising the LPG supply price after comprehensively considering international LPG prices, exchange rates, and accumulated unreflected price factors."
Earlier, the government adjusted the LPG fuel tax reduction rate from 37% to 30% starting from the 1st of last month. As a result, this caused an increase of about 12 KRW per liter.
