Dongguk University Selected for 'Global Basic Research Support Project Laboratory'
Dongguk University announced on the 27th that six of its laboratories were selected for the '2024 Global Basic Research Laboratory Support Project' supported by the Ministry of Science and ICT and the National Research Foundation of Korea.

The Global Basic Research Laboratory Support Project is designed to strengthen the nation's basic research capabilities by supporting small-scale basic research groups focused on specific research topics. Dongguk University will receive a total of 8.25 billion KRW in research funding over three years for six laboratories, including the 'Global Research Laboratory for the Development of an Anti-Aging Precision Control Platform Using Skin Tissue Chips and AI-Based Sweat Sensor Monitoring.'

Professor Kwanggeun Lee of Dongguk University's Department of Food and Biotechnology stated, "Through the convergence of future-oriented food tech chemistry and diagnostic science, we plan to conduct research on manufacturing longevity bio-materials for aging improvement by developing skin tissue chips and real-time sweat sensors." He added, "We believe this research will establish a world-class laboratory for next-generation aging and longevity studies."
