DGP Signs MOU with Chinese Astronergy Solar Korea for Solar Power Project Development
DGP, a specialized company in solar power plant design, procurement, and construction (EPC), announced on the 23rd that it signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with Astronergy Solar Korea (hereinafter ‘ASK’) on the 19th of this month for solar power project development.
ASK is a comprehensive solar power company engaged in solar power plant development and investment, EPC, operation and maintenance (O&M), and module and inverter sales. It is a specialized subsidiary in renewable energy of Chint Group, one of the four major electrical companies in China. ASK entered the domestic solar market in 2009.
Through this agreement, both companies will promote land and rooftop solar power construction projects. They agreed to actively cooperate throughout the entire process from project development to design, equipment supply, and construction. DGP will be responsible for project development and construction work, while ASK will perform EPC and supply key equipment to DGP.
The two companies will build rooftop solar power facilities targeting real estate including industrial complexes in the Gyeonggi-do area and future development zones. They also plan to promote solar power project development for self-consumption to fulfill Renewable Energy 100 (RE100) commitments.
A DGP official stated, "We expect synergy between our company, a solar power EPC specialist, and ASK, a comprehensive solar power company, through this MOU. In addition, we plan to invest in renewable energy development funds with domestic financial institutions to increase mid- to long-term sales."
