Buyeo County Allocates 1.5 Billion KRW in Reserve Funds for Flood Damage Restoration
Buyeo-gun in Chungnam, which suffered significant damage from heavy rainfall, announced on the 16th that it will allocate 1.5 billion won from its reserve funds for flood recovery efforts.
The county suffered approximately 20.8 billion won in damages as torrential rains poured down for three days from the 8th to the 10th.
The reserve funds will be used for equipment rentals needed for recovery, the purchase of flood control materials, and support for disaster relief volunteers.
A county official stated, "With another round of heavy rain forecasted due to the northward movement of the monsoon front starting on the 16th, we have instructed all departments to thoroughly prepare in advance," adding, "We will mobilize all available means and methods, including organizing an emergency supplementary budget for disaster prevention and recovery, to be fully prepared for any future disasters."
